Blending Tradition and Innovation - Our Home in Bavaria
Nestled in the shadow of the Allgäu Alps in Southern Germany, our Headquarters in Lauben stands as a testament to over a century of cheesemaking excellence. Since 1908, our family-owned company has been rooted in this charming place, where time-honored craftsmanship meets forward-thinking innovation.
In Lauben generations of cheesemakers have honed their skills, transforming simple ingredients into extraordinary cheese specialities. The tranquil surroundings inspire a dedication to quality and a passion for perfection that permeate every aspect of our work.
While our reach extends across continents, we are anchored in the region—its commitment to tradition, its embrace of innovation, and its unwavering pursuit of excellence—that continues to guide us. Here, in this picturesque setting, we craft specialty cheeses that not only delight palates worldwide but also tell a story of heritage, dedication, and love for the art of cheesemaking.
Our cheeses are crafted by master cheesemakers trained in technical expertise and the artistry of affinage to create cheeses of exceptional quality and taste. Our recipes have been handed down and perfected over our company’s over one-hundred-year history of cheesemaking. Our cheeses are a mark of high quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. All our cheeses are lactose-free and made with microbial rennet! So they are 100% vegetarian-friendly.
Soft-ripened Cheeses
If you are looking for specialty cheeses with a hint of blue, an irresistible creaminess or a smooth texture – we have the right cheese for you!
Our award-winning soft-ripened cheeses are truly cheese case staples around the world. A soft-ripened cheese is aged from the outside in.
The cultures added during the cheese-making process form a bloomy white exterior and creamy inside as the cheese matures.

Traditional Blue Cheese
Our traditional Blue Cheeses are one of a kind and the perfect addition to your cheeseboard. A blue cheese is made with blue mold cultures. Once formed into a wheel, the cheese is pierced to bring oxygen in and allow the cultures to thrive and develop flavor. When you cut into blue cheese, you will see green, blue, or gray mold, which is edible and will have stronger notes of blue.
